A Case of Allergic Contact Dermatitis Treated with Korean Medicine

Abstract

|
Objective: This study is designed to investigate the effect of Korean medical therapy on Allergic contact dermatitis patient.
Method: This is a case report on a female patient who has been suffering from allergic contact dermatitis. To reduce her symptoms, we provided with internal herbal medicine 3 times a day, acupuncture therapy two time a day and Carbon phototherapy one time a day.
Results: After series of treatments, the symptoms of allergic contact dermatitis were remarkably improved. SCORAD Index was changed from 77.3 to 13.6.
Conclusions: This study shows us that Korean medical treatments has remedial values for dermatitis patients. Hence, more studies should be demanded in Korean medicine for elevation of treatment rate.
